Agreed, they are all the same. For LD I guess it depends if you define DD as meaning people have to physically vote, if so yes I would agree LD is not DD. If you define DD as meaning everyone is counted equally at a policy level then I say LD is DD, and IBDD as well (in my understanding of IBDD).
Under LD indirect voting through a proxy in no way controls your vote, you can pull it back at any time, at its core LD is enacting the will of each individual voter equally on each policy, does it matter if the vote is direct or indirect?
I will avoid using the word specialize as per my note above. Under LD people can choose to only vote (or delegate to someone who only votes) on issues the individual cares about, but for each policy the weight of their vote would return to 1, the same as everyone else - so there is no cost in voting on everything, regardless whether you care about it or not.
IBDD encourages people to be picky about what issues they vote on (or to choose a delegate who is picky), if you vote on everything your vote weight per policy will be less than if you restrict the number of policies you vote on, logically in this environment people would hold back voting for the issues they care about so as to have more influence on them.
That depends on the person, I believe there are many people who are not interested in voting constantly but would know someone they trust with their vote. People entrenched in the current system could delegate to a traditional politician for example, then after time they might see there are issues they disagree on, and pull their vote back on those issues. Others might have a family member they trust enough to give their vote.
In recent posts I am probably one of the main people interchanging DD into the conversation, it is because by my definition the core of IBDD is DD, and most of my comments and opinions relate to DD in general, including IBDD and any other DD movement, like ODD. I have actually been wondering whether me writing this way might confuse people (especially when the leaders sometimes passionately try to differentiate IBDD from DD).
But in these forums I am not really looking at marketing Flux, although maybe I should be, I feel the structure of the various forward facing Flux properties are not well defined. Is this forum for open intellectual discussion, or is it for converting possible supporters?
