Some colleagues and I putting together a program that will take place over 6 weeks of January and February of this year. It will go over all the various elements of politics in Australia, the current political landscape and how to campaign effectively to win elections.
I think many members of the Flux movement are wanting to get more involved but often have not come from political backgrounds that enable you to be as useful as you'd like. This 6-week program will teach you how to run an effective political campaign from start to finish. It will go through Australian political history and teach you all the basics so you have a firm foot in the door towards the next step of getting Flux into the Federal and State Parliaments.
The program will be created in mind with specifically electing Flux members to upcoming State & Federal Parliaments.
Over the next 3-months, in consultation with Party Leadership, we will refine the program to enable it to fit into 6 x 120-minute sessions to be provided in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Flux Members in Western Australia will be treated to a 2-day boot camp style event in February.
The estimated cost of the entire program is estimated to be $60 for waged members and $30 for unwaged members. This price would include everything required for the program.
A more detailed course program will be available in the November.
My question to Flux Members...
Would you be interested in attending such a program?
What would you to learn about in such a program? Anything specific?
Is the pricing mentioned above ($60 waged, $30 unwaged) an acceptable price point for you?
It would be great to get some answers to the questions above to help us mold the program to the communities needs.
As well as having the questions above answered, if you are a previous member of other political party, have experience campaigning and would like to be a part of molding the program more directly - please get in touch with me by sending me a message: +61 415 240 733.
I will update this thread as more information about Flux Campaign School arrives.
