I just heard about Flux via happenstance on Facebook. This sounds like something I'd be very keen to be a part of and support. I believe that the contemporary model of governance in Australia is outdated, out of touch frankly somewhat obsolete. As a member of the NewDemocracy 'Outsiders' group, I feel that there should be a radical overhaul to the input the average member of the public has in the way we do politics. I firmly believe technology is the key to achieving this goal.
I'm currently studying a bachelors of Urban & Environmental Planning at Griffith in Brisbane and I have the personal ambition of working on the design of technology that can be used to improve the way we operate and most importantly educate ourselves as a species. I'd love to be able to assist in whatever way I can with Flux.
I've signed up via the volunteer section of the website and joined the Slack channel, but thought it may be worth an introduction here as well. Would be keen on establishing a relationship between Griffith and Flux in order to promote this concept to a wider audience.
